Saint Patrick, an Example of Holiness Today
St. Patrick was was taken as a slave from Britain around age 16 and was brought to Ireland. He worked as a shepherd in the mountains, where he spent long hours in prayer.
After about six years, he had a dream telling him to return home. He escaped and made his way back to Britain, where he later studied in monasteries and became a priest and then a bishop!
He eventually returned to Ireland as a missionary, preaching the Christian faith across the land. He helped lead many people to Christianity.
His work had a lasting impact on Ireland, which later became known as the “Land of Saints” because of its many holy men, women, and monasteries.
We hope this new artwork helps remind you that holiness isn’t just for a few extraordinary people in the past. It’s something every one of us is called to!
